Our April meeting features a program by member Rajeev Pandey on “Celebrating Butte Montana’s Copper Cachets”.  Also a very attractive bidboard.

Our May meeting will be a Swap Night.  Bring your duplicates to sell or trade, and expect some fine bargains to augment your own collections.

Looking ahead a little: on Wednesday evening, April 23, we will have a Stamp ID workshop, at 7:00 p.m. at Lisa Janz's home, 1275 Elser Ct. SE in Salem.  Bring the stamps you are unsure about.  Some good equipment, plus specialized catalogs in the club library, will be on hand.

The PIPEX Stamp Show will be May 2-4, at the Monarch Hotel, 12566 SE 93rd Ave, Clackamas, OR 97015.  It is the only World Series of Philately show in the Pacific Northwest; it will have about thirty stamp dealers and 160 frames of exhibits.  Salem Stamp Society members are in the core of the organizing committee.

Salem Stamp Society member Ted Shepard will give a talk on “Discontinued Post Offices of the Santiam Canyon” on Saturday May 17th from 3-5 pm. This will be hosted by the Brown House Event Center at 425 N First Av, Stayton, Oregon. There is a suggested $5 donation, under 18 free with an adult. Please contact Ted at the next meeting if you have any questions or call him on 503.881.5087.

Our meetings are also accessible by Zoom.  Write to salemstampsociety@gmail.com several days before the meeting for the Zoom invitation.

Tell Lisa Janz if you are willing to provide a "Frame of the Month" at one of our meetings.

To contact the leaders of the club, address your email to salemstampsociety@gmail.com.  That mailbox is checked frequently, and emails received are forwarded to an appropriate person.  Of course, members can use the email addresses in their membership directory.
